Reading, Not Blogging

Now that I’ve been a little sounder of mind with a bit more sleep these days, I’ve returned to one of my greatest loves with a passion:  READING!  I just read three books in a six day time period.  Not bad for a momma with kids still home on summer break!  I have two of the three reviews up at Paper Diet Books.  The third book (the one on the left there) is going to take some time to process.  Boy, howdy, it was a deep one!

There must be something wrong with me! I usually read like you just did, but I haven’t been interested in it as much. Maybe after Monday when the kiddos are out of my hair and out of destroying my house!

I love reading your paper diet blog. You’ve inspired me to read some of the books and I’ve enjoyed them a lot. Always looking forward to your next great book review.

I watched Lifetime channel’s movie of The Memory Keeper. If it was like the movie, I’ll pass. Did you like it?

I had to force myself to put The Tale of Despereaux down last night and go to sleep. I have a feeling I’m going to get home from work and read till I finish it!!

Is it ridiculous for a slightly clumsy, nearsighted girl to fall in love wth a beautiful book?

The answer is…yes. Of course, it’s ridiculous.

    Love is ridiculous.

Despereaux is my oldest daughter’s favorite book in the entire history of the world. She has read it a zillion times.

The movie is coming out in December. I hope it doesn’t wreck the story for her, as movies are apt to do.

LOVE Despereaux. One of my favorites. Read it to my son last year — he loved it too.

    End staccato comment.
