Trolling for AA Batteries

TAGS: None

Batteries are a hot commodity around my house.  One or another of us is ALWAYS looking for fresh batteries for this device or that contraption, etc etc etc.

Me, I need some batteries for my camera!  Because I have something I want to show you!  But I can’t find any flibbetyjibben batteries!  And I’m using lots of exclamation points because I feel like yelling, but everyone is asleep!

Ahem, ok, I’m better now.

I just completed another one of my 101 Goals in 1001 Days, and I am quite pleased with myself, and frankly, I’d like you to be pleased with me, too.

One of my goals was to create a chapbook of my favorite quotes.  By “chapbook,” I refer to my loose interpretation of the kind of books that are small, hand-assembled, often visually creative, and usually include content of a personal or entertaining nature.  There’s a whole history behind the term “chapbook,” but it’s not really relevant to my goal.  I just wanted to do something that was creative, would help me to catalogue the many great quotes I’ve collected over the years, and was, well, sort of “cute.”

I totally, TOTALLY succeeded, but you’ll have to take my word for it.  That is, until I find some flibbetyjibben batteries for the camera!

I finally made the move to rechargeable batteries. It was a bit more expensive initially, but they’ve more than paid for themselves in the 2 months since. My camera takes 4, so I bought eight and regularly swap them out.

Can’t wait to see your chapbook!!

I keep a big basket at my desk full of all kinds of sizes. I can’t let the basket get low. My kids will let me know about it. If I do.
