I absolutely loved listening to President Obama’s Inaugural Speech today. I decided on that moment for my Project 365 “capture” of the day, so I just held my camera still and started taking pictures. You can see a nice collage of today’s images in the Flickr widget on my right sidebar, but I also want to show you this very intriguing picture. I must have inadvertently captured a slow transition of the tv camera angles, creating this metaphorical composite:
I suppose you could read something kind of creepy into it, but I choose to see it as President Obama speaking to each and every one of us.
On that theme of brotherly love, I also got to witness something very sweet in my own home today. Here are sons I7 and Eli watching some tv together:
It made me wonder: if parents did all they could to foster brotherly – and sisterly – love in the walls of their home, if it was something they insisted upon, how much better would this world be? Because I do think the qualities of love, service, and compassion begin at home. I was grateful to see it in action today.
