The F.L.U.

Anyone who knows my son I7 knows that he’s a Dude on the Move.  Rarely one to sit and take it easy, this is an extremely rare sight:

In this picture he’s passed out on the couch with a wet washcloth over his eyes – he was feverish and fatigued, and just crashed while the other kids were watching the Planet Earth dvds yesterday.

He didn’t improve any today.  In fact, he woke up just in time to run to the bathroom and throw up.  No more of that today, but the fever has still been high, and he hasn’t left the couch – not even to eat.  Every so often he will open his red, glassy eyes and look around at us, but mostly it’s been more of this today:

He is just oblivious to the world.  It bums me out so much to see him this way.  He’ll of course stay home again tomorrow, and we’ll see where the rest of this bug takes us.  We sure wouldn’t mind a few thoughts and prayers for our Dude, and for the rest of us!  (I really hope this doesn’t hit the baby!!)

This is one of the “Mommy Moments”. You’re so worried about one of your chicks! But, then, you have four other chicks plus the Rooster to worry about too!

So sorry he is sick…hope he is feeling better very soon. I just went through the same last week with my son….you can tell when the boys are sick as they are not bouncing off the wall!

I hope he feels better soon! Maybe he caught it at church–the Tippetts’ daughter is sick, too.
