Review: Littlest Pet Shop Spring (Nintendo DS)

I know some parents prefer to give their children gifts at Easter instead of candy; if that’s you, then we have something we’d love to recommend for that Easter gift basket!

Our family recently had the opportunity to review the Nintendo DS game Littlest Pet Shop Spring, from Electronic Arts. My 10yo and 12yo girls still enjoy playing with their Littlest Pet Shop toys, as evidenced by the display of their cozy apartment dwellers:

I expected they would enjoy the game, and I was right! They love choosing and accessorizing their different pets, as well as trying to complete all the tasks that the game assigns them. Few of the games require a high skill level, so instead they enjoy just the fun and silliness of it. The graphics are fantastic, too. The game is marketed towards girls 6-10, but I will be honest with you – my 7 yo son enjoys it, too!

I wanted to give my 10yo daughter, Abby, a chance to tell you for herself why she enjoys the game, so here’s a short video of me chatting with her:

EA and Hasbro have an official Littlest Pet Shop Spring website where you can find out even more about the product and watch a preview trailer of this fun game.
