I said I would help chaperone the elementary choir’s trip to sing at a nursing home this morning. I’ll be bringing my toddler Eli. He has just started this lovely trick of screaming and spitting – he finds both acts highly amusing. We are going to McDonald’s for lunch and choir awards after the nursing home. If we get home in time for Eli to sleep before I need to turn around and do the afternoon pick-up rounds (one kid at 2:30, two kids at 3:30, another kid at 4:00), it will be a miracle. And then my oldest has her final band concert and reception tonight, dress is Sunday best.
My husband is out of town.
Tomorrow morning is a school district breakfast (still need a babysitter!), then volunteering at the JR High band pool party from 4:30-9:30.
Did I already say that my husband is out of town? Oh, well, he’ll be home in enough time to take our 8yo son to his first Scout pack meeting on Friday night, while I’m at the pool party.
Saturday morning we’re having a fundraising garage sale at our house starting at 7am. Saturday night is a “cultural night” activity at the church, which two of our girls need to help set-up for.
Sunday is….Sunday is…just 3 hours of church. And then I think I’ll sleep for like 82 hours.
Except that it starts all over again next week! (complete with husband being out of town again…)
Excuse me while I boo hoo just a little!
edited to add: I have an appointment with my doctor on Monday to follow up on my blood pressure issues and see how my medication is working. for some reason, i find it HIGHLY amusing to talk about blood pressure after a week like this one!
