Hello! Thank you for following me to my new home!
I’ve had VERY little sleep in the last 24 hours, mostly due to somehow mistakenly telling my new server that I wanted this site to “go live.” No, I did not want it to “go live,” not until I had spent a good week figuring everything out. But, alas, in my post-host-purchasing euphoria, I must have gotten a little excited and (because I couldn’t stop to read directions!) pushed this site out into the cybersphere.
Ah well.
Who needs sleep? I mean, more than three hours of sleep anyway? Apparently not me! (but you should try asking me again around dinnertime, when I’m sure to be sleeping with my head on my plate)
There are still little things about this site that are making me itch – that header, for example. Needs to be bigger, I think. And if I could figure out how to decrease the space between the header and the page menu divider, I’d be happy (staring at CSS code at 4am was getting me nowhere). And trying to figure out the “must-have” plug-ins and why, how to go about selling ad space now that I have it – all these things have my head swimming. Well, that, and about 87 other things.
But it’s MINE! My OWN place online! I’m the boss! The big kahuna! It almost feels like buying your first home.
It’s just good thing it doesn’t have a roof to be replaced or pipes that are going to start leaking any minute.

Congrats on the new home! And just like any new home, moving to a new site and owning your own domain is a little scary and takes all sorts of maintenance. But half the fun is fixing the place up, eh?
