Not Me Monday (7/20)

Crawling out from the proverbial bloggy rock recently, I “discovered” (<—even though like 3,000 people already knew about it) this fun meme from MckMama at My Charming Kids.  It’s usually called “Not Me Monday,” but this week, she’s proposing a little variation on the theme, dubbing today…

not my child monday

I’ll go ahead and play, and you see if you catch on to the rules.

My 15yo daughter has not met the boy of her dreams and does not intend to plan the whole rest of her life around him.  And consequently, this does not stress me out one bit.

My 12yo daughter is not completely fixated with Marvel Comics, nor does this follow any fixation she used to have with Greek Mythology.  She is not a bit of a geek, not even in the slightest.

My 11yo daughter does not intend to be a Broadway star and is not at all nervous about starting jr. high next month and joining the choir.

My 8yo son does not fidget with his pants too much or at inappropriate times or places and does not seem to have a perpetual wedgie.

My 22mo does not wake up saying “A go bye-bye in da caw?” every single day, all day.  He is not bored to tears at home during these long summer months.

And finally, my kids are not the ones in the front pew at church bickering and chatting and laughing at my toddler when he’s not doing something wrong.  Not only that, but no one watches or sees what they aren’t doing.

If you’d like to join the fun, write your own Not Me My Child Monday post and link back to My Charming Kids.

I found MckMama several months ago and love following her blog. I am glad you found her and are playing along. By the way… I have “never” noticed any bickering coming from your pew, and I am sure that we “never” have bickering on our pew!
