Oh What Do You Do in the Summertime?

Here, side-by-side, is a weather comparison of next week’s forecast in my former Oregon hometown and in my current suburb of Houston.  Can you tell which is which?

I like to do this from time to time, either because it makes me remember why I am so homesick, or (conversely) to remember that it “can” get “hot” in Oregon, too!

If you’re still trying to figure out the forecasts, here are some hints:  it never really cools down here at night, and our summer storms in the Houston area can be quite dramatic!  Yep, we’re on the right side.  One major difference is that our forecasts have looked like that for about three months now, whereas in Oregon, you can already see things cooling down by next Wednesday.
