“Ready, Set, School” Sweepstakes with Nestlé Family {Spotlight}

Doesn’t the first day of school feel an awful lot like New Year’s Day?  I mean, you’ve opened all the new pencils and notebooks and cool little supplies – which seems so much like unwrapping Christmas presents, doesn’t it? – and you’re usually making a mental list of all the resolutions you’re going to keep this year.  Maybe it’s more hot breakfasts in the morning, or healthier snacks in the lunchbox.  Maybe it’s homework done before dinnertime, or the commitment to actually having a set dinnertime.   Back-to-school so often feels like “back-to-life,” it really does remind me of the New Year.

Nestlé Family recognizes this trend, and in celebration of new beginnings and new goals, they’ve launched the “Ready, Set, School” Sweepstakes as part of their “Happy New SCHOOL Year!” campaign.

Nestle's Happy New SCHOOL Year!

From now through September 30, you can visit the Nestlé Family site every day for a chance to win the “Ready, Set, School” Grand Prize of $5,000 for back-to-school essentials, plus a $2,000 literacy grant for your school.  (all sweepstakes rules found here) Every day you enter, you are also eligible to win the Daily Prize – a Five Star messenger bag filled with Mead and Five Star products.

    Our resolution is to eat together more as a family. There have been so many studies that prove eating together at the dinner table is good for grades and prevents kids from doing drugs or drinking alcohol. It’s amazing how much quality family time can help children in their schoolwork.

    This is the year that we will get to school by first bell every single day. We will have more relaxed mornings and no more screeching out the day at the last minute in a bad mood because we’re running late. A new year, new attitude!

    This year we had planned to be on time for all of our daily functions such as homeworks, school and school supplies.

    I resolve to start my little snoogs in school – preschool if possible – at least half time – I think its so good for him in so many ways. I want to get my massage therapy certification finally, to get all my schooling – learning the body from the cellular level up – to mean something.

    Our resolution is to be more organized. And my children’s resolution (that I made for them LOL) is to NOT PROCRASTINATE on projects they have to do. If I have to run out one more night at the last minute to buy poster board I’ll scream. Love Mead products. Thanks.
