Safeway isn’t “Safeway” in the Houston metro area – here the store is known as Randall’s. As disorienting as that was when we first moved here, I quickly realized that several of the corporate standards carry over, including their unique line of healthy food for adults, Eating Right.
Safeway has taken the recognizability of the Eating Right line for adults and partnered with Warner Bros. to introduce Eating Right Kids - a line of meals, snack, cereals, and drinks which adhere more closely to recently released nutrition guidelines for children. To add appeal for the younger set, the line of products features the Looney Tunes characters on all packaging and advertisements.
Our family was recently sent a special lunch sack filled with Eating Right Kids products (thanks to Team Mom). We especially loved the Chewy Bars and Fruit Cups. My son was so eager to pack his lunch full of Eating Right Kids goodies the next morning, I’m fairly certain there was no “snack trading” going on at lunchtime! Though we didn’t receive any of the Fruits & Vegetables Snack Packs (including apples with peanut butter, grapes with cheese bites, and more), that’s the product I’d most like to seek out now that our Randall’s has this line in-store.
Eating Right Kids has products not only for lunchtime, but across 18 different categories, including breakfast, produce, dairy, frozen entress, and more. It’s likely you can find and Eating Right Kids product for whenever your kids are hungry and you want to offer them a healthier alternative.
