Your Blog Misses You

sad computer

My kids have accounts on a virtual-pet website, and periodically I will get emails from the system lamenting, “Please come back, your pet misses you!”

If this blog had artificial intelligence and could email me itself, I have a feeling it would be saying the same thing to me:  I miss you!

I actually have been doing a little behind-the-scenes housekeeping, which has been worthwhile.  Over the weekend I imported all the book reviews from my former sites Paper Diet Books and book:thirty, deleted both those blogs, and have decided to publish all future book reviews here.  I also imported my product reviews from my former site Full Nest Reviews and deleted that as well.  Tree, Root, and Twig is becoming more and more the complete picture of who I am.

I am a little worried about making this blog TOO diverse – personal posts, product reviews, book reviews, and more – but the thing is:  my interests are diverse.  I could fracture every aspect of myself and created many other blogs, but that’s just (a) a lot of work, (b) not entirely necessary, and (c) no longer an efficient way for me to share who I really am.

I have also been working a lot with categories, hoping to make it easier for you to find what you’d like to find, not only by highlighting the four major categories in the sidebar there (Family/Personal, Weekly Show, Product Reviews, Book Reviews), but offering a hierarchy of categories from the dropdown menu on the sidebar as well.  Still some work to go, but it’s coming along.

There are many other tweaks here and there have kept my blog pruned and weeded, but not necessarily fed and watered.  It’s probably time to bring on the fertilizer deep, nourishing thoughts.

The great thing about living in this technology age is that you can simplify so many interests, like you’ve done with your blogs. It’s a quick job to skim through and read what interests me, and I’m sure it’s simpler for you. Thanks for all you do!
