I'm not in the blogging business, so to speak, so I'm not sure I have comments on most of this...but there will always be bloggers promoting products for free. I never intend to solicit business for my blog, yet if I find something I think a reader friend would enjoy hearing about, I mention in.

As a consumer, I'm skeptical of professional product bloggers the same way I'm skeptical of those radio commercials where they have the radio personality pitch a product. It may be the voice of a real person, but it's still artificial. Or at least less genuine. I'm sure there are a lot of products that, if given to me for free, I would have nice things to say about them. But they're still not worth spending my money on them.

I get the impression you are (or have been) rebalancing your life. Best wishes settling in to whatever's best for you and your family. 'Tis the cycle of things, isn't it? Constantly evolving.
