Would you be shocked to hear from a book-lover such as myself that I’ve never read (nor even heard of!) Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox? I bear a bit of guilt about that, really I do, especially now that Wes Anderson has made such a highly-anticipated, and just as highly-praised, motion picture of the story.
If you’ve been hiding under a rock and haven’t seen one of the many commercials for the movie, take and look and tell me what you think:
Looks a little psychedelic, no? And oddly compelling, methinks.
The music seems like great fun, too – a little cheeky, in fact. The song featured on the video is the Bobby Fuller Four singing “Let Her Dance.” Other artists on the soundtrack include The Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, Burl Ives, and more. Wrap your head around that combination! Or better yet, check out THIS LINK for the deluxe version of the soundtrack (which includes 2 videos) available on iTunes.
This movie has me feeling like Curious Ms Stacey, just to see what’s the what with this unique film! And if you’re curious, too, keep an eye out here for a possible Fantastic Mr Fox giveaway in the near future.
