Circles of Need

GreenConcentricCircles

I very often feel at the center of these tight concentric circles of need.  The closest circle in orbit around me contains the toddler and the puppy, just because they both need such constant, tireless care.  Then would likely be my teen and pre-teen daughters, next my 8yo son, followed by my husband.  Somewhere overlapping each other beyond that are the circles containing church members, friends, school teachers, parent volunteer boards, other family.  I wish my model weren’t circles, but more like rays, because with circles inevitably someone or something gets pushed beyond my reach before I can stretch that far.  But circles it is, and at least I know that much about myself.  Knowing will make it easier to become rays some day.
