Bring on the Chatty Cathys

TAGS: None

My social media goal for 2010 is simple:  MORE ABOUT PEOPLE, LESS ABOUT PRODUCTS.  I have truly enjoyed bringing this blog back to a personal level, and I have *truly* appreciated the comments you’ve left in the last few weeks.  If I haven’t responded to you personally, I will.  I want to make that a priority – connecting.

I’ve spiffed up the look of the blog a little, too – a new header (if you came here via a reader, I’d love to have you click through to see it!), a simpler sidebar, and the inclusion of a “recent comments” widget.  I also added CommentLuv to my blog, which will help promote your own blog when you leave a comment here.  I want to show you how much I appreciate you!

I would also love to know more about you.  While cleaning through some digital scrapbooking file on my computer the other day, I found these lovely templates for conversation cards.  It gave me the idea to turn the tables and let YOU get chatty with ME.  I’ll publish one of these from time to time, just to give you the opportunity to share if you’d like.  Thanks so much for being here!

While I’ve always loved tropical locations…I’ve always wanted to go to Europe…or even better…the Holy Lands!
    Someday!

I want to go to Europe. Is that too broad? If so, I’ll say Italy.

Anywhere that requires a passport! I do want to go to Germany and let my husband show me around. That is where he went on his mission.

A better question is, where do I NOT want to go?!

I want to see the pyramids in Egypt.
I want to go on an African safari.
I want to do a two-week tour of the U.K. and Ireland and see more than just the major pit stops like London and Stonehenge, since I’ve already seen those.
I want to go to the Taj Mahal in India.
I want to see the Great Wall of China.
I want to go to Israel and walk where Jesus walked.

    You get the idea. :)

I want to go anywhere that’s not a 3 world country. And maybe someone of them too.
OH and I am very excited about being promoted on your blog. You’re so nice.

I love the new header! It looks great!

I’m in a similar place with my blog. Though I don’t do reviews or giveaways, I’ve realized I am not connecting with my readers as much as I would like (and the problem is me, not them). So I’m considering ways I can work on that.

If I could go anywhere in the world right now, it would be Australia. My DH is from there, and we have not been able to go and visit in 4 1/2 years. Some of his family have never even met our younger daughter! Hopefully we will be able to go sometime this year.
