Monkey Hear, Monkey Say

It’s not a phrase I say at all, so I guess I have my husband and kids to thank for last night’s Funny Toddler Moment at dinner.  We were eating pizza, and had ordered some breadsticks on the side.  My 2yo, who is apparently not very familiar with breadsticks, looked at them and asked:

What da heck?

It was definitely one of those I-should-be-stern-but-it’s-to-funny-not-to-laugh moments of motherhood.
