Feed Me Books Friday: Step Into Reading Books by Random House

I’ve decided to join an online weekly children’s book carnival hosted by Janna at The Adventure of Motherhood.  It’s called Feed Me Books Friday, and it just seems so fitting, given that I must read at least a dozen books aloud to my 2yo son every day.  Oftentimes I think to myself “I love this book!” and want to share.  But talk of books doesn’t always come up in playdates and park days, so I’ll take this weekly chance to share!

This week I want to share my enthusiasm for the fabulous Step Into Reading books by Random House.  What do I love about these books?  Well, I love that you can find them almost anywhere, including display shelves at the grocery store.  I love that they are a good medium size and soft-covered.  I love that they include well-known characters and movie tie-ins to keep my son excited and engaged.  (our favorite Step Into Reading books right now are from Toy Story 2 and Cars)

And of course, I love that they grow with your child.  Here’s how the books progress in reading interest/ability:

These books are classics around our house and have always been reliable favorites.  Here’s a link where you can browse hundreds of Step Into Reading books at Amazon. (affiliate link)

*Disclosure:  Although I often review books provided to me by publishing houses, I do not have a relationship with Random House, and was not asked to review the Step Into Reading series.  I thought to share them first because my son asked for them by name tonight, and asked for several “encores” of each story. :)

Thanks so much for joining Stacy. Our numbers have been low the past 2 weeks.

Although I think that’s par for the course this time of year. I’ll admit I probably wouldn’t
have given these books a second glance if you hadn’t recommended them b/c many
of the bks based on movies are just watered down story lines. These sound different though.

I know. I love this little online book club for mommy’s b/c not everyone at playdate
shares my love for bks but online I’ve found many kindred spirits:)
