CLOSED: UPDATED: Star Kids Snack & Play Travel Tray {Review & Giveaway}

(UPDATED:  Because I have been on the road and unable to promote this giveaway as well as I would like, I’m extending the entry due date just a couple more days.  The new entry due date is 11:59PM – CST – Friday, July 23, 2010.  Thanks!)

11 hours traveling in a car + a toddler with a strong arm and no convenient place to keep his toys and snacks = toys and snacks chucked far and wide inside our minivan.  One product we’ve been fortunate enough to travel with, though, has provided a practical solution to this oh-so-charming dilemma.

The Snack & Play Tray from Star Kids was designed by mompreneur Alyson Starr Probst in response to her desire to “find a safe, practical surface for [her son] to use when he was in his car seat or stroller.”  As with most great inventions, it makes sense, and is incredibly easy to use.

While the Snack & Play has come in handy when Eli is putting together his puzzles or having juice and crackers, my favorite use so far was unexpected, but very necessary.  At our first stop on this trip, our portable DVD player was destroyed by a water leak in our hotel room.  Since Eli loves watching his movies while we drive, I had to think of something fast.  I unpacked my laptop, used the outlet adapter for the car to plug it in, and set in on the Snack & Play for Eli to enjoy.  An instant fix!

 I think this just goes to show how versatile this award-winning product can be.

I’m truly excited to be able to offer a Star Kids Snack & Play Travel Tray for giveaway to one of my readers.  To enter, please answer in a comment to this post:  how/where would you use the Snack & Play on adventures with your own child?

    I am an aunt who tends to her young nephew quite a bit. He is 18 months old. I have a car set in my car and it is for when I have him and take him places. This would be great to keep him occupied while I am going out and about with him on every day occasions.

    It would be perfect for those 8 and 12 hour trips to visit grandparents! I can see Ms A making her wonderful artwork to give to her friends and family or watching a movie.

    Yet another example of something that has been invented since my kids were. Fortunately, I’m having another! :) Yay! Granted, she’s not quite a toddler yet (!), but the time will come soon, and if she’s anything like the other two, our frequent 13-hour drives to California will prove to be less than fun. This would sure help! I’m always looking for ways to make that drive more bearable, since my mom is aging and we’re driving down more and more frequently to visit her. :)

    The Star Kids Snack & Play Travel Tray would be wonderful for my daughter to use with my grandson each day when she picks him up from “school.” He just graduated to a booster seat, but he could use this to have something to eat a snack on or play with his toys while going home in Houston traffic. My daughter has a company car with a black interior, and I know that she would really appreciate this tray that might save on some messes with a three year old.

    The Snack & Play would be super in the car since my daughter is always asking for a certain book or toy and I have to wait for a red light to get it for her.
