My Hat Is There, My Home Is Here

Feeling very quiet and reflective on this leg of our trip.  We’ve stopped in Hillsboro, Oregon – a suburb of Portland and the city we moved from when we relocated to Texas 2 1/2 years ago.

It’s beautiful here.  We’ve picked right up with old friends.  We want to come back.

But how do you make things like that happen?  Or DO you “make” them happen?  Do you wait for opportunities to arise, or do you construct possibilities?

I can’t figure out what part we need to play right now – patiently waiting or feverishly at work?

All I know is that I felt a wound close up as soon as we crossed into Oregon, and my heart has been so happy as we’ve been here.  Happy, and sad at the same time.

I have a lot of thinking – and praying – to do.

I say life is short. If you want to be there (and the Lord wants you there too), make it work. I know you can.

You can’t “make” things happen but you certainly can push them along! We pushed to move to Richmond, now I want ton push again and come back!

You’d be amazed what you can “make” happen. It’s more a matter of “should” we make something happen and then being willing to accept the consequences of doing or don’t-ing.
