I leave tomorrow for a huge blogging conference, and I’m having a terrible time gathering my thoughts into a coherent blog post! Let’s hope I’m articulate enough in real life that the people who choose to come check out my blog will forgive the apparent mumbo jumbo.
But really, my brain is addelpated.
That’s enough to addelpate any brain, right?
I’m going to see a Broadway show, watch an advanced screening of Secretariat (and meet the producer), take a night tour of NYC, and…oh, that’s right…attend blogging workshops, connect with other bloggers and brands, and throw off the frumpy housewife and PARTY.
I am crazy excited.
I’ll be going as part of the Mabel’s Labels crew; click on the link in the upper right sidebar to read my essay that won me the trip and a year-long contract to write for their blog, The Mabelhood. They are a fabulous company and a gaggle of wonderful people; if they’re not careful I may stow away and return to Canada with them!
I have unrealistically high hopes of blogging while I’m at the conference, but if my current mental state is any indication, I may be too mush-brained to write much. Facebook and Twitter followers may get more than they bargained for, though, as brief, adrenaline-induced updates seem to work well for this mood.
Either way, I’ll try to share as much as I can. And hope I get back to a linear-thinking person before too long!
