CLOSED: Introducing Milly, the Pinkest Kitten, from Aurora {Review & Giveaway}

Aurora World Inc, a leading manufacturer of high quality, affordable plush products (like the successful YooHoo & Friends line) has just introduced a new line of plush toys:  Milly, the Pinkest Kitten.

milly

Milly comes in 10 variations, as either a free-standing plush, in dress-up (where Milly is either a “Wanna Be” Princess, Ballerina, or Fairy), or in her own scented carrier.

We received for review two of the Milly plush toys – the Milly Wanna Be Fairy and the Milly with Strawberry Carrier.

Milly Wanna Be Fairy  milly with strawberry carrier

Both toys were extremely soft and had tons of personality.  The outfit on the Wanna Be Fairy was darling, and we loved the  clever portability of Milly in her Strawberry Carrier.  For little girls and tweens who love pink and anything remotely “girlie-girl,” these would be great gifts.

GIVEAWAY:  Aurora has offered one product from its new Milly, the Pinkest Kitten line for giveaway.  The product selection will be random, though it is likely that you’ll get either of the toys featured here.  To enter, PLEASE ANSWER IN A COMMENT TO THIS POST:  did you have a favorite plush toy growing up?  If not, do any of your kids have one now?

I loved my pink teddy bear my grandma made for me when I was little!

I had a Pound Puppy named Mertyle. I am not sure that I should own up to this, but I slept with it until I got married. My mom used to tease me and say that she would go with me on my honeymoon. Guess who slipped Mertyle in my suitcase when I wasn’t looking?

  • Melissa Harolds

Oh, I should mention that Mertyle is still around in the stuffed animal bucket in my kids playroom!

Yes, it was a fuzzy, brown, kind of skinny, long brown bear. My brother gave it to me one Christmas. It had been his, but he gave it to me because he saw how sad I was on
Christmas. The doll I had been given was suppose to be a walking doll, but it didn’t walk, and my dad tried to fix it. In doing so he broke off a leg and wasn’t thinking very clearly,
as he’d had too many drinks. So he thought he’d make a rattle out of it and stuck the broke off leg in the neck hole of the head he decided to take off. Now I was like five or six, nd definitely didn’t play with rattles anymore. Yet, I didn’t cry and thanked my Dad,
because I knew he wasn’t working on all his brain cells that day. My brother knew I was sad though, and came to my room and gave me his stuffed bear. My big brother is great.
I loved that bear until I was like twelve years old, then our cat Fuzzy got ahold of it, and
killed it. That’s a long, but funny story, but too long for here.

I don’t recall having a favorite stuffed animal or really a favorite anything. I did have a small piece of satin ribbon I used to carry around. (That sounds very sad now… lol)

The girls don’t really have and all time favorite. The favorites kind of switch around on a weekly basis. Zoe does have a bear from build-a-bear that stays in the rotation more regularly than anything else. And right now… Ana is pretty fond of her stuffed Perry the Platypus!

I did not have a favorite plush toy when I was a little girl. My daughter had a Teddy Bear that when first given to her by her dad was bigger than she was. She would love to tackle and hug it. On her first birthday, I made a cake that I tried my best to make it look like Teddy Bear. With my daughter standing in the chair, I put her cake on the table. What did she do? She immediately laid down on it and tried to hug the cake. It was one of those days where you want to take your kid out in the front yard and hose them off.

    Thank you,

    Christine

I don’t know if I had any plush toys.. but I had a large stuffed Garfield for years that I absolutely loved. I slept with it until I was about 19 and the stuffing was coming out too much- the thing had had it. It hurt to throw that away.

Absolutely! Hours after I was born, my grandparents gave me a small brown plush bunny. Not only did Brown Bunny (I’ve always been quite creative with names, huh?) sleep with me in my bed every night, but I am now 23 and I’ve brought him to college and he STILL sleeps in a place of honor next to my pillow!

I had several. When I was really young I had a black and yellow monkey. It had a rubber face and rubber hands, one of which was holding a banana. He had little white tennis shoes. I would suck on the banana. It eventually wore out.
