CLOSED: Moji Tension Release {Review & Giveaway}

EDITED TO ADD (11/4/2010)

holiday gift ideasI am including the Moji Tension Release in my 2010 Holiday Gift Ideas because it is a product I personally love and have used frequently since receiving one for review.  This is perfect gift for someone looking to improve the quality of health and comfort in their lives.  Read the review and see below for details on ordering.

I tend to carry most of my stress in my neck and shoulders.  Somewhat turtle-like, I can often be found dropping my neck into hunched shoulders when I’m working on the computer or puzzling over the bills or ironing out the details of our hectic schedule.  I can feel the muscles knot up, and I have a handy supply of ibuprofen for the tightness and headaches.

While I definitely need to work on my physical habits, work ergonomics, and relaxation techniques, I am also thrilled to have found something that can EASILY, THOROUGHLY, and NATURALLY help alleviate stressed-out muscles in my neck, shoulders, and upper back:

The Moji Tension Release

Moji Tension Release

Moji Tension Release is made from premium four-way stretch materials and moisture-releasing silica beads. The design is such that the stretch provides for a perfect fit, and the silica beads heat up when the garment is put into the microwave for 2 minutes.  You can wear the garment one of two ways:

Moji Tension Release neck and shoulders

Around the neck and shoulders

Moji Tension Release middle back

Along the middle back

I wear a plus-size in traditional garments, and ordered a size M/L Moji Tension Release – the fit is very comfortable and flexible.  Two minutes in the microwave is perfect for me, and although the recommendation is to wear it against the skin, I typically have it over a light t-shirt and can still feel the heat penetrating.  I love the weight the silica beads give to the Moji Tension Release – for me, the pressure adds to the therapeutic value of the heat.

I have taken to using my Moji Tension Release nearly every night before I go to bed.  I wear it as I watch tv or read a book, and it has helped immensely in relieving stress and getting me relaxed for sleep.  And though I can’t guarantee this for everyone and insist that I’m only quoting personal experience- every night I’ve used my Moji Tension Release, I’ve had a much better night sleep.

The Moji Tension Release can be purchased through their website or with select retailers.  You can also follow all news and updates on Moji’s Facebook Page.

Helpful articles about posture. When pushing a stroller, keep the stroller close to you and straighten your shoulders and back.

They have an excellent page on when to use heat vs ice. I learned that “ice and heat therapy both provide an opportunity for our bodies to spend more time healing (it’s hard for a sprained ankle to mend itself when it’s the size of a bowling ball) and less time in pain. Used at the right times, heat/ice therapy can be instrumental in not only healing your injuries, but also in keeping you off the injury list in the first place.”

I learned that Ice therapy known as Cryotherapy is Greek for “cold cure”
And Heat therapy known as Thermotherapy is Greek for “heat cure”
Both of which are the oldest method of healing.

I learned that “The Moji Heat Cell is designed to absorb moisture from the air and then release it when heated in the microwave. Failure to allow the Moji Heat Cell to recharge long enough after each use (i.e. continuous reheating) will result in reduced product efficacy.”
    Thanks for the giveaway!
