I don’t often write here about the “ick factor” involved in mothering five children. But let’s just say, I’ve come to the conclusion that children are rarely born neat, mindful of certain odors, or possessing stellar bathroom hygiene habits.
That’s why I didn’t complain a while ago when I noticed the baby wipes (bought for the 3yo…who is still in diapers…talk about “ick factor!”) vanishing at a pretty rapid rate. “Hey, let them clean whatever needs to be cleaned,” I thought to myself. That is, until the toilet started clogging repeatedly.
Hygiene habits are one thing. Clogging the toilet (and rushing out of the bathroom in a fit and begging me to take care of it), is another. The latter demands that I get involved, which is not so much fun for me.
Fortunately, we recently reviewed Cottonelle Fresh Flushable Wipes, and I believe we have found a MUCH better alternative for improved cleanliness and hygeine.
The wipes come in a fairly attractive box with the new “One Touch” dispensing system, which includes an “easy reach” wall mount and removable 3M adhesive strips to place the container on your bathroom wall.
The scent really *is* fresh, and I thought it was very appealing. The wipes became all-purpose for me, as I used them outside of the bathroom, too, just to freshen up mid-day after being in the stifling Houston heat.
I also love that they are flushable and safe for sewer/septic systems. In fact, if you read the FAQs on Cottonelle Fresh Flushable Wipes, you’ll see the different kinds of testing and requirements they had to clear in order to be deemed flushable. You’ll also see what Cottonelle has to say about the biodegradable qualities of the Fresh Flushable Wipes.
I still don’t want to know everything my children do (or don’t do!) in the bathroom, but I like knowing that having the Cottonelle Fresh Flushable Wipes gives them the opportunity for better cleanliness and hygiene, without clogging our toilet. Leave the baby wipes to the babies!
*Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Cottonelle and received product and a promotional item as a thank you for my participation. All opinions expressed are honest and my own. And really, moms, doesn’t the bathroom rank as the #1 location of “ick factor” in your home. Yikes!
