Wordless Wednesday: Our Antique Piano’s New Tune

{This week we’ve had a specialist here to take a look at our antique piano. We bought it from Craigslist about 6 years ago for $50. Not too shabby for an 1896 mahogany McPhail upright with real ivory keys! The specialist has been performing significant repairs and maintenance, as well as a tuning. He has expressed a clear respect and affection for the piece, and his enthusiasm has made me love the piano that much more. I love hearing how impressive it is for its age, and I love knowing that his hard work and expertise are breathing new life into it. It’s a gorgeous instrument, and I feel grateful to have it in our home!}
