Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten (Review)

Thank you to LeapFrog for sponsoring this review.  For more information about LeapFrog Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten, please visit their website #LeapFrogTag #spon

I’ve mentioned before that my son Eli just misses the Kindergarten cut-off this year. I feel like a broken record about that, but honestly, it’s something that’s on my mind constantly as we’ve been getting ready for back-to-school. What will this year be like? Will he be completely bored at home? How do I keep up with him? How do I help him stay intellectually engaged without the structure of a classroom environment?

I’m glad to have one more tool in my arsenal for keeping Eli on track while he’s home with me this year: Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten from LeapFrog.

Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten

I am so excited about the versatility of this product. The Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten covers a wide range of subjects, including math, literacy, science, social studies, and more. It’s a robust collection of games, facts, learning, and fun.

My son loves to be challenged, and I could tell that the pattern recognition math games really grabbed his attention. The Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten also built nicely upon his previous knowledge of letters and sounds by involving him in games to build one-syllable words and identify words by different consonant blends.

Eli Tag Reader system

Eli has started asking to use his Tag Reader before bed. I love the look of concentration on his face!

The Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten also introduces concepts that I haven’t even though to teach my son, like months, seasons, geography and more.

This video, just released by LeapFrog, gives a behind-the-scenes look at how Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten was made:

The enthusiastic audio, silly sounds, songs, and fun facts have kept my son very entertained, even while he’s learning. Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten is a great resource for working with my son at home this year, or for leaving him to his own sense of discovery.

This sounds like a great product. I spent some time in
bookstores this weekend in search of the perfect ABC and 123 books for my
toddler. Kindergarten will be here before we know it. Get Ready is going on our
    book list.
